Proposal for a Public Shading Structure at the Seneca lake in Upstate New York.
The three proposed shading structures are abstract interpretations of the most common building types: Roof, Wall, Column. These elements, constructed through the layering of individual horizontal surfaces, become simultaneously solid and transparent, multiplying their role in defining the space around them.
